Week 8

Dear Parents,

I have returned all the exams your children completed this week. Please remember to sign them. I also want to inform you that due to the long weekend, this week's homework will look a little different. We won't have time for the usual written homework. Today is Children's Day, so they do not have any homework.

On Wednesday, the students will have a spelling test that will include some comprehension questions on their story "Penguin Chick". Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mr. van der Westhuizen

I am the English teacher for G3 i1.  I hope this message finds you w ell. I wanted to provide you with some important information regarding homework assignments and communication.   Hi Parents, Oh no! We had to work on a Saturday! 😉 Today, I've returned yesterday's unit test. It was a difficult unit test, but the class's average has improved. The average for the first test was 60%. Their average for yesterday's test is 70%.  I asked the students to prepare for the listening, oral, and written exam. For the oral exam the students must practice reading p. 61 in the Reading Street Reader. (The thick story book.) On exam day they will read to me one by one, and I will ask them questions about p.61. I will return all the tests they've written on Monday. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Warm regards,  Mr. van der Westhuizen
